The latest Apple event on the 20th of April, boasts a release of the new iMacs, an M1 powered iPad Pro, a new iPhone ColourAirtags (item trackers) and the Apple TV 4k with an all new remote 

The new iMac 

Green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue and silver. The new iMac comes with 6 new colours, gets upgraded to the M1 chip, is only 11.5mm thin and weighs less than 10 pounds (4.5Kg).

Not only did they improve the body, but they improved the display to a 24 inch 4.5K Retina. Looking and sounding great on Teams calls will not be difficult with the 1080p Facetime camera, studio quality mics and the six-speaker sound system (or maybe you are the type to get  the party started) 

We must mention the new updated apple keyboard is colour matched to your new iMac. This update also adds keys for Spotlight, Dictation, Do Not Disturb and has a Touch ID key to help make logging in and payments easier than ever. 

iPad Pro

With up to 50 percent more performance with the new M1 chip and up to 2Tb of storage, the new iPad Pro is a warmly welcomed update to the lineup.  The updated 12.9″ Liquid Retina XDR display which boasts the ProMotion adaptive 120hz, full-screen brightness up to 1000 nits and P3 colour gamut. The updated cameras will only help you look that much better on this crisp display, with an ultra-wide selfie camera that still works with Face ID and comes with a feature called ‘Center Stage’ which will zoom and pan your video feed to keep you in in the spotlight. Apple has been making continuous movements into the AR space and with the combination of the cameras, LiDAR sensor and the M1 chip, there are lots of wonderful improvements to be expected.

Not much is new with the iPhone besides the new purple colour. It is difficult to call this a release but more of an update to the colour line-up of the iPhones to match the colours of the new iMacs.

Finding your keys and wallet has never been easier with long awaited AirTag. The Find My app has now been updated to not only show you where your MacBook and iPhone is, but now you can track whatever items you want and if you’re on either the iPhone 11 or 12 models you can use the precision finding feature which combines sound, haptics, and AR to help you find your lost item using the ultra-wideband frequency in the U1 chip. The AirTag is also connected to your Apple Id so it can easily be returned if found. With a battery that lasts over a year on standard usage and an IP67 water resistance, these new AirTags will be a powerful addition to your smart home.
