After the first month of our seventh Summer School season, we’ve received some encouraging feedback about our iterated programme, the Summer Festival of Learning.
This season, we’re supplementing our much-anticipated work exposure programme with weekly, bite-sized opportunities to engage & learn.
Every week during Summer School*, you can look forward to an Open Night – a 2-hour evening session on either a Wednesday or Thursday, with a fresh topic up for exploration.
These events are perfect for those who aren’t able to attend the full Summer School week-long experience due to exams, work or other holiday plans.
And, just like Summer School, the Open Nights are totally FREE for anyone to attend!
In our first month of Open Nights, we had fun imagining the interesting jobs that we can look forward to in the future, and considered how gamification can delight and engage the people who use the applications we make with expert guest speaker Mr Ebrahim Adam.
We also got our code fix with an introduction to Cloud Computing from one of our resident Azure Cloud Architects, and examined the concerning ethics & privacy in tech issue currently being debated at a global level.
During each week of Summer School* between November and the end of February, in addition to your opportunity to acquire career-ready skills and build your portfolio, Summer Schoolers also get to attend daily workshops with our team in various areas that provide further insight into how to collaborate and thrive in a working environment.

We’ve secured some exciting speakers, so join the immedia School community for news of the next Open Night!
*Summer School is closed for the two weeks between 23 December 2019 and 2 January 2020 due to seasonal festivities.
