336immedia has just released the latest addition to its suite of real time iPhone apps and this time it’s the turn of SuperSport, the application that offers sports fans real-time access to the latest sports news and scores, no matter where they are.

Commenting on the significance of the launch immedia iPhone app developer Jitesh Nunnan says; “The SuperSport app has allowed us to showcase our accomplishment in development and design, previously seen in some of South Africa’s biggest branded websites. This stepping stone marks our clear intention to move into the mobile market and serves as further proof that our Durban-based company can challenge any global team.”

Nunnan explains that in terms of look and feel as well as functionality, immedia wanted the end users’ navigation through the SuperSport app to be intuitive and appealing. Particular detail was paid to maintaining a simplistic feel, while exploiting the rich functionality of the app. At the heart of the design was the aim of producing an uncluttered browsing experience.

The top three features of the app include an ability to follow live scores of matches in real time, access to the latest logs, news and results for an array of sports and content availability for both the local and international markets.

SuperSport.com GM Ray Moore says; “There is clearly huge consumer demand to be able to access sports information on the go, and this app is a logical next step, given how the iPhone has revolutionised the market.

“Our mission is to be the best provider of premium sports coverage, and it shouldn’t matter if our fans aren’t able to watch it live on TV. We already have a mobile version of SuperSport.com but the iPhone app really takes it to another level. Now sports fans can get instant, easy access to everything from live test cricket scores, to updated English Premier League log tables. It’s all there.”
